Zamalek goalkeeping coach Emad Al-Mandoh downplayed fears that guardians Essam Al-Hadari and Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed will create tension at the Cairo club while vying for the sole starting berth. Former Ahli goalie Al-Hadari joined his old club's arch-rivals Zamalek in the close season from Ismaili but he will be serving a suspension till the winter. Both custodians will be seeking to outshine each other at Zamalek in the second half of next season in order to play regular first-team football. However, Al-Mandoh assured that the fierce competition between them will not have any negative effects. "Al-Hadari and Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed are mature enough not to fall out with each other," he told FilGoal.com. "This competition is in Zamalek's best interest, definitely." Thirty-seven-year-old Al-Hadari illegitimately exited Ahli in 2008 to move to Switzerland's Sion, which later caused him to be banned for four months starting next season.
