Bayern Munich lost their appeal against Franck Ribery's Champions League final ban, but will now go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Ribery has been hit with a three-match ban for his red card in the first-leg semi-final win over Lyon and will accordingly miss the final. Bayern were disappointed to see the ban upheld by UEFA, forcing them to look for other options to make their star man available for the Inter Milan clash. "We will keep on fighting. We're not happy with the decision here and we will take the decision to CAS in Lausanne," Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told reporters. "For him to miss the Champions League final for an offence of foul play is just too harsh. "Foul play should be punished with a one-match ban, those are the UEFA statutes but they have not followed them. It's much too harsh."
