Barcelona eased to the Champions League semi-finals after holding Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw at Allianz Arena, which sent the Catalans through with a 5-1 aggregate victory. Franck Ribery's strike was cancelled out by a tremendous goal from Malian midfielder Seydou Keita for the visitors. An action-less first half indicated that things are going well for Barca, who had their coach Josep Guardiola watching from the stands, following a first-leg red card. Despite the scarcity of chances, there was no shortage of tension in the first half, which witnessed four bookings between the two sides. The second half started well for Bayern, but the Bavarians were still in need of a miracle despite an early goal after the break. In the 47th minute, Ze Roberto sent Ribery through on goal, and the French wizard waltzed around Victor Valdes to slot home into an empty net, leaving the Barca keeper on his backside. Bayern's attempts for a consolation win were shattered by an extraordinary team move from Barcelona, dispatched brilliantly by Keita. Samuel Eto'o and Andres Iniesta exchanged passes to penetrate the Bayern area, the latter found Xavi inside the box and the Spain schemer provided the layoff for Keita, who unleashed an unstoppable rifle from 20 yards out. Primera Liga leaders Barca will now face Chelsea later in April, following the Blues' thrilling 7-5 aggregate win over Liverpool.
