Manchester City have been allowed to recruit goalkeeper Marton Fulop on an emergency loan deal from Sunderland, following the injury of Shay Given. City's first-choice guardian Given dislocated his shoulder in the goalless draw at Arsenal, while his backup Stuart Taylor is also injured. The Citizens were hoping to recall on-loan keeper Joe Hart from Birmingham, but were only allowed to bring in Fulop for their remaining three games. "The club, with the backing of the Premier League, have been in contact throughout the day with both Birmingham City and Sunderland with regards to bringing either Joe Hart or Marton Fulop to the team on an emergency basis," read a City statement. "Agreement has not been reached with Birmingham, but we anticipate that Marton Fulop will join us in training (on Wednesday) and we sincerely thank him and Sunderland AFC for their help in this situation." City, who are pushing for a Champions League place, host Aston Villa on Saturday before facing Tottenham and West Ham.
