Arab Contractors are planning to run the rule over Ahli's out-of-favor striker Osama Hosni, providing that they avoid relegation this season. "We are looking to sign Hosni in the close season to beef up our frontline," Contractors' football director Mohamed Saleh told FilGoal.com. "There are several players that we are keeping tabs on, but we will only open talks when we guarantee a spot in the Egyptian Premier League next season." Contractors are now in 13th place with 30 points, two clear of the danger zone. The Mountain Wolves have three league matches to go. Media reports suggested that Hosni will move away from Ahli in the near future after failing to prove his worth under manager Hossam Al-Badri, who took the helm last summer. The 27-year-old, who came through the Red Devils' youth system, once called on Al-Badri to give him a chance to play regularly but to no avail. The one-man club was once linked with a move to Ismaili in the January transfer window but the deal fell through. Hosni, who couldn't establish himself as a starter under Al-Bardi's predecessor Manuel Jose over the past years, was also approached by promoted side Gouna in the winter.
