Fiorentina striker Adrian Mutu has been hit with a nine-month ban for failing two doping tests. The verdict was imposed by the Italian Olympic Committee's anti-doping tribunal. Mutu tested positive for Sibutramine after Serie A matches against Bari and Lazio in January. The 31-year-old had also served a seven-month ban for testing positive for Cocaine when he was at Chelsea, who accordingly sacked him in 2004.
