Emirates airline will be the official shirt sponsor for AC Milan after signing a four-year deal worth €60million with the Italian giants. The government-owned Dubai company, who will take over from Austrian online betting group bwin, said that the deal starts from July 2010. Emirates have been the sponsors of Arsenal's home stadium since 2004, but Milan stressed that their deal with the UAE company is only a shirt sponsorhip. It's a sponsorship. The acquisitions of shares were never spoken about, nor were the naming rights of the stadium," said Milan vice-chairman Adriano Galliani. "Also because Emirates are interested in a new stadium to which they can give their name while San Siro, for the football fans, will always remain San Siro."
