Zamalek have signed Zambia midfielder Rainford Kalaba on a six-month loan deal from Sporting Braga, the Cairo club said on their official site. Kalaba, who spent the past six months on loan at Uniao Leiria, is believed to have signed a deal worth €450,000 with the Whites. Ahli were also interested in the 23-year-old's services, but decided to pull out of the race after rejecting the loan option. Kalaba is a regular for Zambia as he started both games against Egypt in last year's World Cup qualifying campaign. The promising playmaker was also a member of the Chipolopolo squad in the African Cup of Nations, where he scored a crucial goal against Gabon in the group stage.
