Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is backing captain John Terry after he scored the winner against Burnley, amid the England defender's private-life plight. Terry's captaincy credentials have been doubted after the 29-year-old was allegedly involved in an affair with the ex-girlfriend of England mate Wayne Bridge. But the England captain lifted Chelsea over Premier League strugglers Burnley on Saturday with a trade-mark header late in the game. "There is no discussion about this (the captaincy). I don't know why you ask me this. The players will never lose their trust in him," said Ancelotti. "It was a good moment for Terry on the pitch today. But he also played well against Birmingham in midweek. "I did not speak with him. It wasn't necessary because he did well in training yesterday. It was not in my mind he wouldn't play. "I do not want to talk about his personal life. He is doing his job very well, every day, every training session. For this (reason) I am not worried." Meanwhile, the English FA refused to comment on reports suggesting that Terry will be stripped of his role as England captain.
