German champions Wolfsburg fire coach Veh

Wolfsburg have relieved manager Armin Veh of his duties after a series of poor results, the German champions said on Tuesday.
"VfL Wolfsburg released head coach and board of management member Armin Veh from his duties at the club," a club statement read.
Veh took over as Wolfsburg boss from Felix Magath, who leaved for Schalke after leading the Wolves to a memorable Bundesliga title last term.
After 19 games in the league, the German champions are languishing in 10th place of the table, 17 points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
