Egyptian center-half Amir Azmi has joined Harras Hodoud on a free transfer after ending his spell in Turkey. "I signed a contract with Hodoud on Saturday," the 26-year-old told FilGoal.com. "I am very happy to represent a club with a respectful board and a quality technical staff. I hope this move can help me rejoin the national team." Azmi terminated his contract with Diyarbakirspor last week, following the Turkish side's failure to pay his wages. The former Zamalek defender will be the second coup for Tarek Al-Ashri's team this winter, following the arrival of Malian midfielder Abdoulaye Sidibe. "We brought in two decent players in case we had to sell in January. We could also add a few more players in the near future," Al-Ashri said. Midfielder Abdul-Salam Nagah and defender Hani Saied are strongly poised to leave Max Stadium soon, amid reported interest from Zamalek. Egypt defender Ahmed Saied 'Ouka' has also revealed his desire for a new challenge.
