Defender Amir Azmi, who has been all but released by Harras Hodoud, was handed a trial at Gaish and might join the military club at the end of the week. Hodoud signed the former Zamalek man in January but he was transfer listed last week for no apparent reason. Now Azmi is set for a move to Gaish in the close season. "Azmi is among nine players who might join the club this summer," Gaish assistant coach Ghanem Sultan told FilGoal.com. "Head coach Farouk Gaafar will decide which players to land on Thursday." Towering player Azmi, who's still under a contract with Hodoud, will join Gaish either on a loan or permanent basis should he impress Gafaar. The 27-year-old joined Hodoud after terminating his contract with Turkish side Diyarbakirspor, who could not afford to pay him his dues. He was expected to play a major part in Hodoud's league and cup campaigns but is set to leave the team without stepping onto the pitch.
