The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has suspended Chelsea's ban from acquiring new footballer till January 2011, and now the Blues can bolster their squad by next winter. The Blues were banned by world governing body (FIFA) from buying new players for persuading youngster Gael Kakuta into breaching his contract with French side Racing Lens. The court said the sanction will be suspended 'until the CAS renders its final decision in this matter'. No date was given for the final verdict. Midfielder Kakuta had been at Lens since he was eight years old. He has only made five Chelsea youth team appearances last season and two for the reserves.
