Egypt had to pull out of next month's friendly with Germany as they face Tanzania on November 5th. The Egyptian FA reached an agreement with its German counterpart to cancel the game due to the African champions' World Cup qualifying commitments. "Given these circumstances, there simply were too many uncertainties involved in the planning of the match in Gelsenkirchen," DFB general secretary Wolfgang Niersbach said. "So we have decided to seek a friendly agreement with the Egyptian Association and arrange another opponent for this date." The three-time world champions will now face Ivory Coast on November 18th. Tanzania Friendly In the same context, Egypt will host Tanzania on November 5th, in preparation for the decisive qualifier with Algeria nine days later. "We have decided to play Tanzania on November 5th, that's our best option," Egypt assistant coach Shawki Gharib told Modern Sport TV. "The game is not included in the FIFA international agenda, that's why we have chosen a team with no players abroad."
