Inter Milan technical director Marco Branca insisted Maicon was going nowhere after reports linked him with a move away from the club. Corriere dello Sport said earlier this week that the Brazilian right-back sought to move to England, with Manchester United being mooted as possible suitors. "There is the utmost belief from both the player and the club in the current contract situation," Branca told Inter's official website. "It's understandable that certain stories find space in the media during the international break, but the specifics that have appeared in today's news are non existent." Maicon has been an integral member of Inter's squad since joining from French side Monaco in the summer of 2006. The 28-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best full-backs in the world. He is consistently compared with his Barcelona counterpart and Brazil teammate Daniel Alves.
