Dominic Adiyiah scored twice as Ghana snatched a dramatic 3-2 victory over Hungary on Tuesday to reach the World Cup U-20 final. Adiyiah posted his brace in the first-half, taking his tally in the tournament to eight goals and becoming the frontrunner for the Adidas Golden Shoe award. Hungary pulled one back through Marko Futacs before Abeiku Quansah's strike restored Ghana's two-goal lead. Adam Balajti revived Hungary's hopes again but it was too late to grab an equalizer. Ghana, in their third World Cup final in this age group, will play the winners from Brazil and Costa Rica, who clash in the other semi-final later on the same day. Early Dominance Ghana, cheered by thousands in the stands, dominated the first-half and reaped reward in their two goals. Captain Andre Ayew capitalized on sloppy defending from Hungary's backline to steal the ball and round the keeper before sending a weak shot towards goal. Adiyiah beat his marker in the race to the ball just to tap it into an empty net. He doubled the lead in the 31st minute when he headed a perfectly-weighed cross into the back of the net. The spectators expected more goals from Ghana in the second period but Hungary's substitutes changed everything around. Substitute Marko Futacs sent a left-footer home from close range in the 73rd minute as Hungary got back into the game. They missed several opportunities to score the equalizer and were punished by Abeiku Quansah, whose dink from the edge of the area hit the woodwork and settled home. Hungary were thrown a lifeline by another substitute, Adam Balajti, who penetrated from the left before curling the ball into the far post in the 84th minute but it was too late to register the equalizer. Ghana reached the U-20 final in 1993 and 2001 but lost on the two occasions to Brazil and Argentina respectively.
