Bayern Munich tactician Louis van Gaal says he needs more time to make tangible improvements in the Bavarians' form. The Dutch coach has taken charge of the German giants since July, but under his management Bayern suffered a string of poor results. Eight-placed Bayern are now eight points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen after a couple of months through the season. Van Gaal is already facing a baptism of fire, but his future at Allianz Arena will be seriously jeopardized should his team fail to defeat lowly SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga. The former Ajax coach vowed to lead a turnaround in Bayern's fortunes, providing that he was given enough time. "If I'm given necessary time, I'll have the chance of doing something big," Van Gaal told DSF. "It's in April or May that the distribution of prizes takes place, not in October. "I've shown what I'm capable of in other clubs I've been with, I think that the public and media have to keep faith with Louis van Gaal."
