Reporters' questions anger Soukup
Published in FilGoal on 02 - 10 - 2009

Egypt U-20 coach Miroslav Soukup showed dissatisfaction with the reporters' questions following Thursday's thrilling 4-2 victory over Italy in the World Cup.
The tournament hosts booked a last-16 berth after a second-half brace from substitute Ahmed Fathi 'Bougi' enthralled the home crowd and lifted the young Pharaohs through.
In the post-match conference, the media representatives focused their questions on the mistakes Egypt players committed during the game that took place at Cairo Stadium.
Soukup's choices, defensive fragility and the inability of the full-backs to carry out attacking duties were some issues raised by the reporters.
"I'm very surprised with your questions because we won and scored four goals!" the Czech tactician said.
"We were not facing (Egyptian second-division club) Tersana, we were facing a very strong team so it is only natural to make some mistakes.
"I think you should stand by the players following such a victory instead of criticizing them."
Egypt's second win in three games helped them finish on top of Group A with six points, one ahead of second-placed Paraguay and two clear of Italy, who will progress as one of the best third-placed teams.

Bougi scores Egypt's third goal
No Surprise
Bougi's maiden participation in the tournament saw him excel to make an immediate impact. Winger Ahmed Shokri, who also made his first appearance, was equally impressive to notch a first-half brace.
"I was not surprised to see them play so well. I was always confident that all my players are ready to give their all whenever needed," Soukup added.
"Any substitute in my team has what it takes to step in and make the difference."
Bougi scored Egypt's third goal few seconds after his introduction instead of ineffective striker Mohamed Talaat but his goal celebration was a weird one.
The Zamalek man, who was kept on the bench during the previous two games, appeared to rant at the technical staff.
"I don't know what he said, I will probably ask my translator but I understand his anger," Soukup commented.
"Bougi produced some fine displays in the pre-tournament friendlies and expected to play a bigger role but he was surprised to see himself out of the starting line-up."
