The U-20 World Cup was launched at a superb ceremony in Egyptian city Alexandria, where the fans' passionate cheers prompted FIFA president Sepp Blatter to interact with them. A sell-out crowd at the 80,000-seat Egyptian Army Stadium greeted Blatter and Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak with heavy applause and cheerful chants. Blatter interacted with their enthusiasm by waving his arms during his speech. The ceremony lasted for just 16 minutes to avoid affecting the pitch of Egyptian Army Stadium before the young Pharaohs meet Trinidad and Tobago in the tournament's opener. Eight giant screens displayed features of the life in five continents with the support of ear-catching music. The explosion of fireworks ensued and the performers' dance further enhanced the ceremony amid fantastic light effects. It ended when renowned artist Amr Mostafa sang the tournament's theme song titled 'tonight', and he did not disappoint.
