Former Ismaili coach Nebojsa Vuckovic said that he had to leave the Dervishes because of a conflict with the club's board. Ismaili announced the sacking of the veteran Serbian last week, but Vuckovic revealed that his departure came in agreement with the board. The former Ahli Jeddah manager left Ismailia after just two games in charge of the league runners-up, who failed to win in their first two games. "The board put pressure on me to change the strategy of playing," Vuckovic told FilGoal.com. "I wanted to develop the level of performance of the players by using a 4-4-2 formation. "But I had to quit because I can't change the way of playing only for the board's sake."
Soliman Redeem In the same context, Vuckovic's replacement Emad Soliman is looking to help the team regroup after a dismal start to the league campaign. "The competition is in the beginning and we still have time to redeem ourselves. I hope the upcoming break will help to do so," he said. "We have a good chance of catching our rivals and I hope the fans will see a different team against Petrojet." Ismaili lock horns with leaders Petrojet on Monday, after which the league games will stop until September 10th due to Egypt's qualifier in Rwanda.
