Zamalek's insistence on keeping hold of defender Amr Al-Safti might prevent them from landing Masri's Ashour Al-Adham. The White Knights are lining up a summer bid for Al-Adham, whom Masri valued at EGP1.5 milion in a part-exchange deal that should see Al-Safti and Mohamed Ibrahim move in the opposite direction. Zamalek have no reservations about any of the coastal club's conditions, except that they intend to hold onto Al-Safti. The 28-year-old didn't frequently feature for the Cairo side over the past season, even so, head coach Michel Decastel is keen to keep his services.
Al-Safti On the other hand, Mahmoud Samir is still reluctant to rejoin Arab Contractors in the close season. The midfielder was landed at Zamalek along with Alaa Kamal from the Mountain Wolves last summer. However, Zamalek defaulted on the last payment of the double-signing fee, and offered to return the duo to Contractors. Kamal agreed to return to Contractors, but Samir remains undecided over his future, as he would rather join ENPPI.
