Egypt technical staff have omitted Zamalek striker Amr Zaki from the FIFA Confederations Cup squad due to injury, and decided to name Mohamed Mohsen Abou-Greisha instead. "Zaki was excluded from the list after sustaining a hamstring injury," Egypt assistant coach Shawki Gharib told FilGoal.com. "We are now seeking to name Abou-Greisha in the squad to fill the frontline void." The coaching staff will send Zaki's medical report to World governing body FIFA, and the latter should give them the permission to add Abou-Greisha in the squad. According to FIFA's regulations, no changes can be made to final squads unless a player got injured. On why head coach Hassan Shehata opted not to replace Zaki with Mido, Gharib said: "That was not really an option, because Mido wasn't picked for the provisional squad."
