Egypt coach Hassan Shehata rubbished reports indicating that he fell out with Amr Zaki ahead of the Confederations Cup. Zamalek striker Zaki was ruled out of the tournament due to a hamstring injury. Local reports said that Shehata accused Zaki of feigning injury following his poor display in Egypt's shocking 3-1 defeat to Algeria last weekend in the World Cup qualifiers. "I'm disgusted by what was published over this issue," Shehata told FilGoal.com on Friday. "I have never made any comments over Zaki during the past week. "Zaki's commitment is unquestionable. He always plays through the pain barrier when needed. "There is no need for such false stories that disrupt our preparations for the Confederations Cup. We need everybody's support in such a critical stage." Ismaili striker Mohamed Mohsen Abou-Greisha was called up to replace Zaki in Egypt's squad. The Pharaohs, who will play in Group B, open their campaign against Brazil in South African city Bloemfontein on Monday.
