Ahli hope their new coach would be able to emulate the huge success of Manuel Jose, who will leave the club after spending five fruitful years at the helm. The Portuguese tactician announced he would step down from his post at the end of the season to take over at Angola. Cairo giants Ahli are now looking for his successor with the aim of finding a reliable coach who can fill his void. "Ahli deserve to have someone of Jose's caliber and professionalism," the club's board member Khaled Mortagi told BBC Sport. "The new coach will have a great challenge after Jose won around 18 trophies during his spell with Ahli." Rumors linked the Red Devils with a host of names, including Frenchman Henri Michel, who coached their arch-rivals Zamalek, and Brazilian Abel Braga. Ahli have yet to settle on their new boss but revealed the job requirements. "The new coach should be someone who is experienced and who achieved good results with the teams he managed," Mortagi added. "We also prefer to have someone who had an experience in Africa or the Arab world. "But the most important thing is to have a coach who wouldn't make us feel that we miss the great Jose."
