Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola remained cool after seeing his side lose at home for the first time this season at the hands of city rivals Espanyol, who won 2-1 on Saturday. Guardiola's ex-Barca teammate Ivan Dela Pena punished his former club with a terrific brace at Nou Camp, ending the Catalans' 22-match unbeaten run. Moreover, Real Madrid overwhelmed Real Betis 6-1 at the Bernabeu, to narrow the gap on the Primera Liga leaders to seven points. "We've always said that the league will not just be handed to us," Guardiola said at the post-match conference. "We have lost, we must recover, and at the end the league will place us where we deserve to be. "We have to keep going till the end, no matter how many games we lose. If we cannot win, we shall congratulate whoever does." Guardiola urged his team to get over the domestic stumble and focus on this week's UEFA Champions League clash with Lyon. "It was a very tiring game and we must recover well. Now we must look forward to the game with Lyon," added the Barca coach. Abidal Blow Unfortunately for Guardiola's team, full-back Eric Abidal won't be available against his former club after sustaining a thigh injury against Espanyol. It was confirmed that the France international has ruptured an adductor muscle, which means he would be out for up to eight weeks. Barca will visit Lyon on Tuesday before both clubs re-clash for the return leg on March 11th.
