Hamburg full-back Marcel Jansen conceived that pursuing a career at Bayern Munich can be a tough task for young talents. The German international played one season for the Bavarian giants last year, before fierce competition within the team forced him to move to Hamburg in the summer of 2008. “There's always an immense pressure for any newcomer at a big club like Bayern. You're never given enough time to mature,” Jansen was quoted by Bild. “Players have to be at their best when given their first chance at Bayern, it can be ruthless sometimes because if you don't perform you won't get a second chance.” The 23-year-old had to fight for a place at left-back with Germany compatriot Philippe Lahm, A competition that ended with the former's departure. “At Bayern they have a superstar in each position, and no one can guarantee a regular spot.” Jansen considered by wishing Alexander Baumjohann, who will be joining Bayern in the summer all the best in his adventure. “It's a great move for Baumi, he's a great player so why not take a shot and sign for Bayern. “He has what it takes but he also needs to know that it won't be easy for him at Munich.”
