Real Madrid have been fined € 3,000 by the Spanish football federation (RFEF), following fascist gestures by fans during Sunday's 3-1 win over Osasuna. Match referee Alfonso Perez Burrull reported that a contingent of Real supporters waved flags and banners with "extremist or radical symbolism". Burrull stated that the Madridistas fans' behavior was of fascist nature, mentioning slogans like 'Death to Osasuna and fascists forever'. Consequently, the RFEF sanctioned the Spanish champions in their attempts to fight xenophobia and intolerance. The verdict comes under the same category which prompted the RFEF to fine Sevilla star Frederic Kanoute earlier this month, when he unveiled a T-shirt with the word 'Palestine' in a cup game.
