Ahli defender Ahmed Al-Sayed sees no reason why his side can't win the FIFA Club World Cup. "We are capable of returning home with the gold medal," Al-Sayed told Al-Hayat channel on Friday. "Ahli are a very strong team who always compete for honors." The African champions flew to Japan on Friday to take part in the Club World Cup, which runs from December 11-21. The majority of Ahli fans seem optimistic about the Red Devils' chances, with many tipping them to face Manchester United in the final. But Ahli coach Manuel Jose said recently that winning the tournament would be impossible. "The impossible task (winning the title) needs more time to be achieved," the Portuguese told a press conference. Ahli, who finished third in the 2006 edition, open their World Cup campaign against Pachuca of Mexico on December 13th.
