Ghazl Mahalla secured their first win in three league games, thanks to a 1-0 win over Harras Hodoud. The hosts' winner was scored by striker Ahmed Al-Mala in the 51st minute. Hodoud started the game in a bright fashion, hoping to take Mahalla by surprise with an early goal. On 29 minutes, Abdul-Hamid Bassiouni almost put the visitors ahead, after rising to meet Ahmed Eid's right-flank cross, but the former Zamalek forward saw his header rattle off the crossbar. In the second half, Mahalla regained control over the game, and they took the lead when Al-Mala took advantage of a mix up in the Hodoud box by chipping the ball past Modiri Marurno. The win lifts Mahalla to tenth position in the table, level on 15 points with six-placed Hodoud who have one game in hand.
