Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson has been given a two-match touchline ban after initiating a spat with referee Mike Dean in the team's game against Hull City. The 66-year-old tactician launched into an argument with Dean right after the final whistle of the Red Devils' 4-3 home victory over the Tigers on November 1st. Ferguson believed Dean granted City an undeserved penalty-kick. He was also infuriated by the referee's leniency towards Michael Turner's tough challenge on Michael Carrick. The veteran coach flew off the handle after the game and stormed onto the pitch to express his objection to the referee. The Scottish manager will miss United's Carling Cup game against Blackburn Rovers, as well as Premier League match against Sunderland on December 3rd and 6th respectively.
