Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger compared the progress of young Gunners to that of newly-elected US president Barack Obama. The French tactician announced that he will rely on young reserves against Wigan in Tuesday's fourth round Carling Cup tie. Keeping his faith in the squad that tormented Sheffield United in the third round, Wenger believes his youth-brimming side have got quality. "I am happy with that because that is the approach I have had for a very long time. I always gave the same answer - you don't look at the passport, you look at the quality," Wenger said. "I always did fight for that. You have the example of Barack Obama in the United States, that is one of the countries where if you have the quality you will make it. "What made everybody happy in this election is because basically nobody knows what his ideas are, but when the system brings people to the top just because they have the quality and nothing else, I think that is right. And in sport that is the case." Arsenal will be buoyant with their impressive 2-1 victory over rivals Manchester United at the weekend when they face Amr Zaki and co at the Emirates Stadium. But the likes of Samir Nasri, Cesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott will not be there as Wenger is counting on young starlets Carlos Vela, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshire.
