Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Abdul-Wahed scored the only goal of the game to lift Lierse past their hosts Tienen on Sunday. Abdul-Wahed came off the bench in the 67th minute to fire a long-range drive five minutes later and clinch full points for Lierse, handing leaders Tienen their first defeat of the season. The former Zamalek midfielder and his fellow countryman Ahmed Samir have been relegated to team B because of their Ramadan fasting. However coach Herman Helleputte was forced to call them back as he is missing many players due to injuries and suspensions. Lierse are now 12th of the Belgian second division table with eight points.
