Ahli fans threw stones at a bus carrying members of Masri team, few minutes before both sides meet in an Egyptian League encounter.
Police forces intervened to separate the visiting supporters and save Masri's players. No casualties were reported.
Port Said-based club Masri, Ismaili and Zamalek do not enjoy the best of relationships with Egyptian champions Ahli.
Ahli's trips to Port Said and Ismailia always witness confrontations between fans.
