Czech Republic manager Karel Bruckner named his side's squad for Euro 2008, without the inclusion of Pavel Nedved who refused to come out of international retirement. Bruckner had hoped to convince Nedved return to the Czech fold but the Juventus midfielder snubbed his call. "I spoke to him for the last time yesterday, but it is still the same," Bruckner was quoted as saying by Calcio Italia. "He will not be in the team. He has never said anything else, so he has only confirmed his decision." Nedved, who has just extended his contract with Juventus, announced his retirement from international football in August 2006. Bruckner has already lost the services of Arsenal playmaker Tomas Rosicky, who has been ruled out of Euro 2008 with a knee injury.
