Zamalek have suspended midfielder Mohamed Aboul-Ella for an indefinite period and handed him an EGP 20,000 fine for making an obscene gesture towards the fans. Aboul-Ella was replaced in the second-half after a poor show against Arab Contractors, making way for Ahmed Abdul-Raouf. The 28-year-old was insulted by his own fans when he walked off the pitch. He responded by raising his middle finger towards them. "Aboul-Ella will also be questioned over his conduct after being substituted," Zamalek assistant coach Mohamed Helmi told the club's official website. Helmi was also unhappy with the players' performance in the 1-1 draw against Arab Contractors. Zamalek were leading and wasted numerous chances to put the result beyond doubt. "I'm not satisfied with the display tonight. The careless players will be punished because they cost us an important win in our battle to finish second in the league." "Amr Zaki is also to blame for wasting a glorious opportunity when he went one-on-one with the keeper in the second half," Helmi added.
