Egyptian FA competitions' committee have suspended Zamalek midfielder Mohamed Aboul-Ella for an indefinite period after he made an obscene gesture towards his own fans. "The competitions' committee decided to ban Mohamed Aboul-Ella from playing with Zamalek," read a statement carried by the FA official website. "He will not be able to play until the FA further investigate the incident." Aboul-Ella was replaced in the second-half of Zamalek's 1-1 draw with Arab Contractors after a poor show, making way for Ahmed Abdul-Raouf. The 28-year-old was insulted by his own fans when he walked off the pitch. He responded by raising his middle finger at them. Zamalek also suspended Aboul-Ella for an indefinite period and handed him an EGP 20,000 fine. Egyptian FA president Samir Zaher recently insisted that Aboul-Ella will be heavily sanctioned for his inappropriate behavior.
