Alessandro Del Piero has been given a glimmer of hope for playing in the Euro 2008 after Italy boss Roberto Donadoni said he was impressed by his recent form. “A few months ago I wasn't sure, but now I would choose him for the plane. The facts speak for themselves," Donadoni told Calcio Italia on Tuesday. The 33-year old striker has been inspirational this season scoring 18 goals to help third-placed Juventus secure a Champions League spot next season. Del Piero hasn't featured for the Azzurri since last September's goalless draw against France. “All that I am sure of is that with Del Piero and everyone else my choices are my own and there will be no controversy. We are all civilised people,” added Don. Former Milan legend Donadoni has a lot of attacking options as Luca Toni, Marco Borriello, Antonio Di Natale, Antonio Cassano, Fabio Quagliarella and Del Piero have all delivered their goods this season. “I will only talk about selections on the fixed date. It seems that lots of players have decided to give me the problem of too many options."
