Dubai International Capital has reportedly offered £400M to buy Premiership giants Liverpool from American duo George Gillet and Tom Hicks. According to Sky Sports, the Emirate's leading investment company is believed to have issued a 24-hour ultimatum for Gillet and Hicks to reply. The American tycoons won the race for the Reds' ownership ahead of the UAE company, which seem to have renewed their interest after the recent unrest at Anfield. Apart from their frosty relationship with coach Rafa Benitez, the Liverpool owners have apparently fallen out with each other, with one partner reportedly willing to buy out the other. On the other hand, DIC chief executive Sameer Al-Ansari admitted that the company is in talks with the owners. "It's no secret that we have been in discussions with the current owners," said Al-Ansari. "It's not easy because (they) are in dreamland about valuations." However, Al-Ansari later clarified that one of the club's owners "had come out of dreamland", which means he is willing to listen to the offer.
