The Egyptian FA have promised Egypt squad members huge incentives in case they managed to defend the African Cup of Nations title in Ghana this year. FA chairman Samir Zaher indicated that each player will receive $55,000 (EGP 300,000) if the team clinched first place. "This is only the official bonus allocated by the FA, other sources of incentives are excluded," he told FilGoal.com on Wednesday. Each member of the technical staff is expected to get twice as much though, as the Pharaohs attempt to grab back-to-back titles, last achieved in 1959. Egypt will start their CAN 2008 campaign next week by facing four-time champions Cameroon in Kumasi.
