AC Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati said he is enjoying the challenge with Atletico Madrid, where he is spending a year-loan, and hopes to extend his stay in the Spanish Capital. "My adaptation has been faster than I expected, I'm very happy at this club because everyone has really supported me," he told the club's website Abbiati was loaned out by AC Milan last June and he is expected to be back at the end of the season as he has still two years to run on his contract. "I signed with Atlético de Madrid for one year. I know I have a contract with Milan until 2010, but I'd like to play another year in the Spanish League because the competitiveness is great," he added The 30-year old goalie isn't a regular starter for Atletico as he has only played six games until now. "I really like playing in the Spanish League and I hope to continue learning. Everything is easier now because I understand and speak Spanish better."
