Ahli coach Manuel Jose said that his side is not playing entertaining football in the league, despite going top after a 2-1 win over Telecom Egypt on Monday. Jose conceded that his players are focused on next week's crucial Champions League semi-final clash with Ittihad Libya as he admitted that the Reds' recent victories over Tersana and Telecom featured mediocre performances. "I can't understand why the players' thoughts are affected by the Ittihad game, I can see that our performances in the last two games were less than efficient," he said. "Egyptian players need a more professional mentality, where a player should have an independent motive for every game." The Portuguese tactician believes his team should have added more goals to their two-goal lead instead of caging back against the 10-man Telecom side. "We had an opportunity to play better after the second goal, we should have entertained the crowd, but the players focused on defense without a cause," added Jose. The newly-promoted Telecom were reduced to ten men shortly after Ahli's second goal, when former Ahli defender Ahmed Radwan was sent off for a second bookable offence.
