Ligue 1 side Strasbourg have registered Hosni Abd-Rabou in their squad after FIFA ruled in their favor in the battle with Ismaili over the Egyptian international, the club's representative said. Samir Al-Sayed, Abd-Rabou's former agent, told Egyptian TV that the French Football Federation (FFF) asked the Egyptian FA to send them the player's transfer license. The Egyptian FA confirmed the FIFA ruling, but said Abd-Rabou will remain with Ismaili until the world football's governing body discusses the latter's appeal. Ismaili have 21 days for appealing the decision, otherwise it would be final. However, Al-Sayed said that the Egyptian FA have misinterpreted the ruling and that Abd-Rabou must refer to Strasbourg at once. Abd-Rabou has been called up for the Egyptian team's away game with Burundi in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers on Sunday. In January, the prolific midfielder joined Ismaili on a six-month loan from Strasbourg, with an option for a permanent move should the Egyptian club pay 500.000 Euros by June. The French club said Ismaili didn't pay the fee in time and agreed terms with Egyptian champions Ahli for the player's contract. Ismaili deny the claim and insist they paid on time.
