Manchester United Norwegian striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has decided to bring down curtains on his football career as he announced his retirement on Tuesday. The 34-year-old forward thanked the bosses at United for their support through his 11-year- career at Old Trafford. "I feel proud to have represented Manchester United for 11 years, and have some very special memories," Solskjaer said. He was the hero at Old Trafford as he scored the winner in Manchester United dramatic victory against Bayern Munich 2-1, in the 1999 UEFA Champions League final. "He has been a great servant to the club and has always remained a model professional in his responsibility as a player, and in his demeanour, and his manners have always been exemplary," said coach Alex Ferguson. "Ole will hopefully go on to be a good coach." Solskjaer, who joined Manchester United in 1996, won't leave the club as he will start a new coaching career there.
