The Belgian champions will be hoping to reach the group stage for the second successive season and make up for last year's disappointment. Anderlecht finished at the bottom of their group last year behind AC Milan, Lille and AEK Athens. Egypt skipper Hassan will be looking to make a notable impact in Europe's premier competition after producing a scintillating display in domestic competitions. UEFA Cup champions Sevilla tackle AEK Athens while Debreceni VSC, where Egyptian defender Amir Azmi plays, have to overcome Swedish side Elfsborg if they are to face Valencia in the third qualifying round.
