Zidan, new fans' favorite in Hamburg

Hamburg's official website described Egyptian forward Mohamed Zidan as the “New fans' favorite” after being warmly welcomed by the fans in his official debut with the team against Dacia Chisinau in the 4-0 Intertoto Cup victory.
The report said that thunderous applause rained down on the slight shoulders of Mohamed Zidan as he was taken off in the 80th minute of the game.
Despite not scoring, the 25-year-old player showed the fans brief flashes of what he is capable of.
"The way the fans here took to me touched my heart, it is an honour to play for this club in this stadium," said the talented Egyptian forward.
On the other hand, coach Huub Stevens was full of praise for his new recruit. "Mo is not quite where he wants to be"
