Saied confirms Rizespor exit, wants Ahli return
Published in FilGoal on 27 - 05 - 2007

Egypt defender Ibrahim Saied has confirmed that he is set to leave Rizespor in the upcoming days to join Egyptian champions Ahli or one of the top Turkish sides, despite the team's recent assurance of a place at the top flight.
The 27-year-old, who helped Rizespor stay in the Turkish top flight this season, said he discussed the matter with his Turkish club officials.
"I have decided to leave the club because my ambitions are bigger than that of the Rizespor, and I spoke with the club officials who acknowledged my request," Saied told FilGoal.com in an exclusive interview.
"I received some offers from some of Turkey's leading clubs after my fine display with Rize this season."
The controversial player dropped a bomb by revealing that he has been approached by Ahli officials and that he is contemplating a return to the Red Devils
"I will consider my options but my priority will be moving to Ahli if possible.
But Saied conceded that no official agreement has been made.
"Ahli officials have contacted me in a friendly manner, but there was no official approach.

Saied has always been controversial
"I wish to make a return to my first club, but if the deal is not completed, I might move to a top club in Turkey."
Saied was relieved to see his side secure a dramatic final-day place in the Turkish Super Lig, just one point clear of the relegated Antalyaspor.
"Thank God we managed to stay in the league, it was a very tough situation, but we were fortunate to make it."
Rize drew 1-1 at bottom club Sakaryaspor, but they were helped by Antalyaspor's 3-1 home defeat to Genclerbirligi.
Saied admitted that he has been playing through pain during Rize's last two games against Konyaspor and Sakarya and that he was daily treated with injections.
"I was suffering from inflammation in my stomach muscles, but the manager insisted on my presence, I had to be injected daily in order to play."
However, Saied's resistance for pain ended after the first half at Sakarya, as he was taken off at halftime.
