Saied set for Rizespor exit
Published in FilGoal on 12 - 07 - 2007

Egyptian defender Ibrahim Saied revealed on Thursday that Rizespor officials have given him the green light to leave the club.
"I sat down with Rizespor president and told him I want to depart because I could not adapt to life in Turkey," Saied told FilGoal.com.
"I also failed to learn the Turkish language and, consequently, I will neither be able to communicate with my team-mates nor follow the coach's instructions."
Saied said he was largely helped by former team-mate Beshir Al-Tabie during his stay in Turkey, but the latter's departure to Zamalek has made life difficult for him.
The 26-year-old, who can operate in defense and midfield, stated that Rizespor president has finally accepted his transfer request after lengthy negotiations.
"He first insisted Rizespor will not let me leave for less than $500,000 but at the end he agreed on my release for $300,000, the same fee they paid to Zamalek to sign me."
Saied joined Rizespor last January on a three-year deal. He put in a fine display and contributed to the club's relegation survival.
The former Ahli man revealed that several offers have been tabled for his services.
"I received two offers from Turkish clubs Ankaragucu and Belediyespor Istanbul but I prefer not to stay here."
"Saudi Arabia's Al-Wehda and UAE newly-promoted side Al-Zafra are also interested but I will likely join the latter because their financial offer is better," he added.
Saied commented on his previous link with Egyptian and African champions Ahli, the club where he forged his reputation.
"I was hoping to return to Ahli but things haven't gone well regarding this matter. I may come back to Egypt in case I receive an offer from either Ismaili or Zamalek," he concluded.
