Stuttgart, HSV Hamburg and Hannover 96 are among eight Bundesliga teams interested in Egyptian forward Mohamed Zidan, Mainz manager Juergen Klopp said on Thursday. The 25-year-old has been a revelation since arriving at Mainz from Werder Bremen in the January transfer window, netting 12 goals in the Bundesliga. However, despite Zidan's huge contribution and impressive displays, Mainz are on the verge of relegation to the German second division as they lie second from bottom in the league table, five points adrift of the safety zone with two matches remaining. "Team manager Christian Heidel and Zidan's agent Ivan Benes already have eight offers for Zidan's services, including bids from Stuttgart, Hamburg and Hannover," Klopp was quoted as saying by Kicker magazine. "We are currently searching for a good alternative," he added. Klopp recently heaped praise on the talented forward, insisting that he is capable of playing in the best European teams.
