Harras Al-Hodoud heaped more misery on Ittihad Alexandria after grabbing a 2-1 home victory in the Egyptian League on Thursday. Ahmed Eid capitalized on a terrible howler by Ittihad keeper Essam Mahmoud to put the hosts ahead in the 16th minute before doubling the lead himself in the 70th minute. Ittihad's right-back Rami Saied scored a consolation in stoppage time. Ittihad Forward Mohamed Nagi was sent-off in the 26th minute after receiving a second booking for simulation while Al-Hodoud's Abdul-Rahman Farouk joined him on the sidelines three minutes after re-start. The victory lifted Al-Hodoud to the fifth place in the league table with 28 points while Ittihad, who haven't won a single match since November 10th, lie ninth on 22 points. Elsewhere, ten-man Olympic failed to ease their relegation worries after settling for a 1-1 home draw with Tersana. Ahed Abdul-Maguid's goal for Tersana on the stroke of the hour mark cancelled out Ibrahim Helal's opener early in the 10th minute. Olympic winger Mohamed Salah received his marching orders in the 56th minute. Tersana are tenth with 21 points while Olympic lie third from bottom on just 14 points.
