Barcelona midfielder Thiago Motta is cleared to play against Real Mallorca in the Spanish League on Sunday after his automatic one-match suspension was overturned, the club said. The Spanish Committee for Sports Discipline (CEDD) accepted Barca's appeal over the red card handed to the Brazilian during the 3-1 victory over Real Zaragoza last week, the European champions added on their website. Motta received his marching orders after his hand caught the chest of Zaragoza's Diego Milito in a challenge over the ball. The television replay triggered debate over the straight sending-off as it looked an accidental and harmless contact.
